Chief Master Sergeant (Ret) Robert "Bob" Anderson, 72, passed away unexpectedly on January 31, 2020 from heart complications. Bob and his wife Pam have been friends of ours since 2007. In 2014, we worked together to create a limited edition Sting commemorating the "character" that the Sting played in The Survivalist Series by Jerry Ahern. A.G. first became aware of Bob in 2005 when he sent A.G. an email requesting some of the care packages that we were sending to our troops in Iraq and Afghanistan at that time. Bob was based at Balad Air Base, Iraq. He asked for packages for the men and women who were serving under him - 250 total. We sent those packages and he distributed them at Christmas time that year. In 2007, after Bob retired, he and his wife Pam drove by our location on I-49 in Rogers on their way to Missouri where they hoped to buy a home and relocate. They stopped and thus began a strong connection between Bob and A.G.; two men who loved this great country, served in our military and continued to support the troops in anyway possible. Bo b said he became aware first of the A.G. Russell Sting through The Survivalist Series of novels by Jerry Ahern, and then through that, of A.G. On Jerry's death, Bob became co-author with Jerry's wife Sharon of that series starting with book #30. Books from the series can still be found, new and used, online from many different books sellers. Ebooks and audio versions are also available. B ob will be missed by myself, A.G. Russell Knives and by all who knew him. If you would care to honor his memory or A.G.'s, consider donating in their name to Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), the American Legion, Disabled American Veterans (DAV) or any charities helping Veterans. Yup,I too learned of the Sting from the Survivalist Series back in the '80s. Did have a gold plated Sting I bought back then but went missing since. Also have 20 of the 24 paperbacks from the series. Should have been made into a movie series.

I am sorry for y'alls loss. Your memories honor him. I too somewhat discovered the Sting 1A through those books, and then your shop in Springdale, "some while" ago.
